This is one technique of airbrushing that i picked up and i use for my digital abstracts. I hope it helps some of you.

[break= step 1 - 3]
1). Open the document you wish to airbrush. Select your pencil tool with white as the forground color and scribble around.



2). Select filter>distort>wave and click randomize and "OK" then go to edit>fade wave and enter 80% and click ok. Repeat this step 2 more times but on the last, don't fade the wave or else the result won't be very desirable.



3). Select filter>blur>radial blur zoom 50% and then edit>fade radial blur 75% and click ok.

4). Select filter>blur>gaussian blur and choose a low radius such as 1.5 or 2 pixels.



5). Now select edit>transform>distort and distort it into the shape you need it to be.
