    Author: 20past4

This tutorial shows you how to make a easy and quick chain like this

Step 01 - Use the text tool and set the font to Arial and the size to 75. Color does not matter.

Step 02 - Type in zero (0) for the open chain and create a new layer and use the 'I' for the connecting chain.

Step 03 - Double click one of the layers and in the options panel and check off the 'Bevel and Emboss' option and use these settings:

Step 04 - Check the 'Contour' option and leave the settings to default

Step 05 - Check the 'Satin' option and use these settings:

Step 06 - Check off the 'Color' option and use the color "E3E3E3"

Step 07 - Check off the 'Stroke' option and use these settings with the color "717171" for the stroke

Step 08 - Choose OK and copy the layer style from that layer and apply it to the other layer.

Step 09 - Copy the layers as many times as you like to extend the chain

It shouldn't matter what color the font color is because in step 6 you replace the color with "E3E3E3".

    Thank you by the way

Your welcome Trip If you want to make the link part of the chain more realistic you can "rasterize" the layer with the "I" on it and grab the eraser and erase the corner pixels to give it a more round look.

If there are alot of interest in this I can add a more advanced chain making tutorial if anyone is interested. Let me know
